The Senior Loan Processor is responsible for handling all aspects of the loan closing process. Assists loan processors with daily processing tasks, questions, and training. This person will coordinate and work closely with branches and other lending departments to ensure loans are closed and/or processed in an accurate and timely manner. and will work closely with Consumer Loan Manager to ensure all loan disbursements are compliant with Federal and State Laws and Regulation in addition to credit union guidelines and policies.
Requirements
- Responsible for upholding and adhering to Credit Union of Georgia brand standards including following all of the steps of our unique member journEASE experience and to Engage, Ask, Solve and Excite and deliver top level member service every time.
- Serves as contact point for the loan processing team ensuring smooth team operations and effective collaboration.
- Responsible for daily activities of the loan processing team ensuring the highest level of service to both internal and external members, by accurately and efficiently funding loans for the branches, indirect loans, the business loan and mortgage departments.
- Ensures supporting documentation and records are accurately prepared according to credit union policies and procedures
- Processes loans with minimal errors within consistent time frames.
- Manage, coordinate, and prioritize loan closings
- Responsible for all facets of post loan review process once loan has been funded. Will insure all loans have appropriate member signatures, rates, required documents, crediting of GLs, appropriate tracking records are completed, ensure proper collection of all closing fees etc.
- Assists lending staff and departments by communicating what corrections or requirements are needed to finalize a loan closing.
- Follow up on post-closing exceptions and receipt of original signed document(s)
- Additional responsibilities include assisting other lending departments and other projects as assigned
Experience/Requirements
- Strong attention to detail, time management and organizations skills required
- Minimum of two years of consumer loan processing experience
- Prior lending and credit experience preferred
- Must work well under pressure
Education/Certifications/Licenses
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some college preferred.
