Production Scheduler

SUMMARY:

ThePlanner is responsible for customer order entry and scheduling manufacturing processes to meet customer demand,from raw materials in to finished goods. The Planner works closely with a production team to ensure plant capacity can meet production and customer schedules.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates manufacturing schedules for production based oncustomer demand inputs.
• Enter, review, and analyzecustomer firm orders and forecast.
• Communicate ship plans, production delays, and upcoming risks to customers.
• Work with purchasing and operations teams on schedule impacts and resolution.
• Drive and maintain optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements.
• Act as part of the team coordinating engineering changes,end of life products,product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.

• Experience in a related field.
• Experience with ERP and MRP systems preferred.
• Demonstrated critical thinking and abstract reasoning abilities
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Microsoft Excel skills preferred.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

WORKING CONDITIONS/OTHER:

• Work Hours/Status:
  • The 1st shift includes Monday - Thursday 5am – 3pm.
  • The 2nd shift includes Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.
  • The weekend shift includes Friday – Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
