Overview:

Crescent Homes is currently looking for Land Analyst to complement our Land Acquisition and Land Development teams in the Nashville, TN market. The right candidate will be responsible for full underwriting analysis including market research and pro-forma development. Additional responsibilities will include target parcel, municipal, county and township research, site assessment investigations for necessary utilities, organization of historical cost data, preparation of due diligence reports and tracking project schedules.

This position requires a forward-thinking individual with excellent analytical and communication skills, land development knowledge, strong organizational skills, time-management awareness, expertise with Excel and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support acquisitions team with detailed market analysis and pro-forma underwriting using Excel and other analytics software as needed
  • Assemble deal packages and gain local team approvals of underwriting assumptions and results
  • Gather, analyze and maintain local submarket information
  • Assist with development and maintenance of local growth strategies
  • Assist with aspects of land acquisitions, development and land/lot purchases
  • Assist with coordination of due diligence studies and management of active land contracts
  • Maintain database information of current land prices and demographic information
  • Assist and coordinate with new projects market studies
  • Preparation of site feasibility studies
  • Public building code and local ordinance research, interpretation, and applicability determination for project sites
  • Assistance in preparation and presentation to governing bodies and internal team
  • Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
  • Ability to plan and organize workload, adjust to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Perform additional duties as directed by CEO Division President or local Land Department leadership


Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required. Real Estate, Finance, Business or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Work well independently, and in a team environment

  • Must have excellent time-management skills, and know how to prioritize and multitask
  • Must have the ability to work well in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Attention to detail is a critical, must be detail-oriented and methodical
  • Having strong analytical and research skills, must be an impeccable communicator

  • Strong sense of urgency with problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
