Psychiatrist

Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations to assess the nature and severity of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions as well as thorough history and physical evaluations for medical issues.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including counselors, and medical professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
• Provide evidence-based treatments, including pharmacotherapy and behavioral therapies, tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, and strategies for maintaining recovery.
• Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and other team-based activities.
• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in addiction psychiatry and integrate these into clinical practice.

• Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of patient care and documentation.

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical research as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor (MD) with Board Certification in Psychiatry
• Minimum one year experience with substance abuse program preferred
• Active state medical license required and DEA registration

Salary : $160,000
