Overview

Crestron is looking to hire Lead Software Development Engineer in Test in Rockleigh, NJ. In this position, you would be leading a team of best-in-class quality automation engineers in Crestron's product testing. You will be spearheading the automated testing of cutting-edge Crestron products in the Unified Communications' business area. Unified Communications is the fastest growing business vertical encompassing a wide array of products like next-generation wireless presentation products, Microsoft Teams-based personal and meeting space products, Zoom-based meeting space products, and several audio-video products.

The ideal candidate would have extensive experience in device based automation, network based product automation, and managing the required technical infrastructure. You enjoy keeping your technical skills current and contribute to the optimization of automated testing as necessary. Ultimately, the Lead Software Developer Engineer in Test is responsible for delivering a high-quality product automation on schedule and demonstrating the same via defined metrics.

Responsibilities

• Implementing automation software to verify the quality of complex integrated systems - Develop, maintain and execute automation tests to ensure sufficient test coverage.
• Participate in automation script code reviews and provide guidance on their compliance with automation best practices
• Integration with Dev and Configuration Management tools
• Thorough understanding of test processes and test methodologies.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality software to production within tight schedules
• Track record of completing assignments on time with a high degree of quality

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• At least 10 years of experience in Java/J2EE, SDLC, and OOP in the development of enterprise-level automation software.
• Experience with the following technologies: XML, XPATH, Selenium, Appium, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3 as well as data formats in XML and JSON.
• Experience in Microservices and Containerization will be preferred though it will not be a constraint.
• Knowledge in Secure Coding practices, GIT, Maven, and best CI/CD practices.
• Good understanding of complex integrated systems.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• High degree of computer literacy
• Proven experience developing complex automation and scripts using Java
• Hands-on experience running, deploying, and maintaining automated tests

Academic Qualification:

• Bachelor of Engineering degree / Master of Computer Applications (required)
• Masters of Engineering / M. Tech (preferred)
