Tool Design Intern Position Summary:

The Tool Design Intern will provide technical support on the development of stamping dies, prototype tooling and inspection fixtures.   

Responsibilities

Tool Design Intern Responsibilities:

  • Partner with other tool designers on designing metal stamping dies, fixtures, and related equipment  
  • Create and maintain internal manufacturing drawings
  • Maintain CAD system and the development and maintenance of print documents

Qualifications

Tool Design Intern Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in a four-year degree program for Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
  • Some experice using CAD software, preferrably Solid Works
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to use measuring devices
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and team building skills to create effective working coworkers
  • Ability to follow through on commitments and holds team members accountable
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
