Medical Assistant/LPN
- Duties:
- Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Perform point of care laboratory testing, collect specimens and phlebotomy.
- Communicate patient results and physician orders as directed.
- Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and obtain prior authorizations as required.
- Refer patients to specialists and obtain prior authorizations as required.
- Assist with minor in office procedures.
- Chart prep for patient appointments
- Assist in answering a multiline phone system and handling and routing calls accordingly.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a medical assistant, LPN or MOA training program or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
-Knowledge of insurance and Medicare and Medicaid
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow all Federal and State HIPAA laws
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
