Job Description
6mo renewable contract with option to hire. Seeking Remote - Network Support Engineers to help provide Technical phone support to the engineers that are doing the actual installs and upgrades to the new Servers. Client is migrating Video Management System /CCTV platform to 1,500 new servers (they have 2012 Servers and going to new 2019 Servers). Again, this is the remote phone support to the engineers that are working onsite at the client locations to make sure the migration is a complete success – all servers are up, software installed, and cameras are all working properly.
New servers will be installed in stores by 3rd party where connectivity will need to be verified by the Network Remote Support Engineers and then be imaged locally at the client locations and brought into production where functionality will need to be verified after migration.
Preferred Skills:
- Cisco command line to validate port connectivity of new servers
- ServiceNow or other ticket and task/issue management system
- Attention to detail to ensure video recording has been restored on all cameras and users will have access
- Windows Server deployment or management experience
- Knowledge of Video Management System /CCTV platform
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Notes: 1500 Servers, recording video going from 2012 to 2019 - upgrade existing servers, replacing or installing new software applications as needed.
