Banquet Server

Job Description

The Banquet Server supports the formal event operations team in providing high-quality service during formal events, ensuring guest satisfaction. The Baquet Server supports and carries out multiple facets of the event including but not limited to set up, transporting supplies to the event location, serving guests during the event, and breaking down/ cleaning up after the end of an event.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position ranges from $15.00 to $17.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and break down catering and event services and equipment according to client/customer requests and banquet event orders.
• Transport and deliver catering beverages and all vital supplies and equipment to event locations.
• Serve food and beverages to guests during the event, replenishing as needed and ensuring a positive event experience for all guests.
• Have knowledge about menu items and be able to respond to guest questions and requests.
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of food service areas during events and adhere to safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
• Must follow the required dress code as assigned.
• Must be available to work event-based hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to complete Food Handling and Alcohol Service training as required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must have reliable transportation to event locations.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
