Job Description
The Chef Manager is responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Offers a wide variety of culinary solutions to meet customer and client needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards. Applies culinary techniques to food preparation and manages the final presentation and service of food. This is a Location Chef Manager, as the only manager on site, reporting to a FSD at another location.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages production for 3 points of service: patients, retail and catering.

Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities

Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food

Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality

Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus

Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen

Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques

Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of culinary management experience required.
- Requires experiential knowledge of management of people and/or problems
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Culinary Arts degree desired.
- SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required.
- Experience with production systems is preferred.
- Requires oral, reading and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills required.
- Proficiency with computer programs is required.
