Job Description
Job Title: Sales and Marketing Assistant
Summary Provide support for the areas of Sales and Marketing by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Sales and Marketing:
- Answering company telephone and transferring calls.
- Capture and report to management daily events and highlights that are deemed extraordinary in the sales and production arena.
- Produce written quotes for Aggregates and Ready Mix as directed by Sales and Marketing Management.
- Data input for Sales and Marketing into appropriate software package. This will include but not limited to Weekly Expense Accounts, Contractor Lists, Conco Phone List and other required data.
- Secretarial functions for Conco Business Office Management
- Work with the sales team to develop comprehensive marketing strategies.
- Develop areas of Market Analysis and Market Segmentation to determine marketing trends.
- Tracking and reporting AR information to Dir. Of Sales on a monthly basis.
- Track and report customer and job profitability on a monthly basis
- Produce flyers and marketing material for upcoming events
- Assist with local trade show booths
Accounting
- Maintain an orderly filing system.
- Perform additional accounting, clerical and administrative support to management as requested.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Marketing classes are helpful, but not essential. Computer skills are necessary for performing some of the daily duties.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. This also includes proper phone etiquette.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
Must have a general working know of Microsoft Windows environment and Microsoft Office System. Ability and willingness to learn new software as needed.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid Missouri drivers license and reliable transportation
Other Skills and Abilities
Basic working knowledge of accounting theories and practices.
Ability to perform specific tasks by established deadlines.
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
