Job Description
Primary responsibilities include researching, adjusting, and documenting supplier billing inquiries by evaluating large sets of raw and compiled data. Maintaining documentation that adheres to audit and SOX guidelines and ensuring traceable processes is key to this position. The Sr. Analyst will utilize analytical and accounting skills to interpret and comply with contract language, establish effective procedures, and comply with tight deadlines. This position includes cross-functional Data Management responsibilities. Effective presentation and communication skills are necessary to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
• Provide routine and ad-hoc support, analysis and communication to the Data Management team and senior leadership
• Evaluate processed spend and allowances, reconcile any discrepancies that the supplier may be claiming. Provide feedback on necessary adjustments or contract terms to support the billing
• Research and provide detailed support and backup for annual allowance volume inquiries
• Monitor and resolve department assigned support incidents
• Facilitate the exception product process
• Support the system generated allowance process
• Utilize company reporting tools to support and improve Data Management workflow and analysis needs
Secondary Responsibilities
• Complete contract approvals
• Engage with IT team to support projects and enhancements
• Participate in or lead certain aspects of Data Management initiatives
• Assist Data Management and Accounting with cross-functional support as needed
STATUS AND SCOPE
While this position consists of several critical accounting, billing and analytics functions, it is also a position that requires strategic and innovative thinking to improve efficiencies and quality.
Qualifications
Excellent analytical skills – turning data into knowledge and knowledge into action
• Excellent organizational skills – effectiveness in prioritizing work, meet deadlines, ability to multitask and comfort with ambiguity
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills including vlookups, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS, pivot tables, and database tables
• Understanding of basic SQL queries preferred
• Knowledge of business process analysis and change management desired
• 3 - 5 years of experience in analysis or other relevant business experience related to procurement or supply chain services
• Accounting or related degree or equivalent industry experience
