Job Responsibilities
The Procurement Director will be responsible for directly supporting the Consultative Services team by coordinating efforts between the vendors, supply chain, clients, and business operations team. This individual will be involved with all aspects of customer support including coordination of efforts between all internal partners, distribution, and functional support. A successful candidate will have experience in supply chain and category management such as beverages, food, snacks, therapeutic/religious products, disposable and cleaning supplies. Diversified experience with Aramark or similar contractors, with their lines of business, marketing and customer support departments would be an advantage.
The Director will evaluate spend, monitor/manage vendor performance, and track program compliance and savings delivery for our clients. The Director will have direct management of the Purchasing Managers in the Consultative Services group.
This position is based in Philadelphia, PA.
Qualifications
A minimum of 2-5 year’s work experience in Supply Chain and/or Category Management
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
• Excellent communication, relationship, and influence skills
• Must be able to work independently with strong problem-solving skills and innovative thinking
• Project management experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications - Advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
• Train new hires on company policies and procedures and use the best training methods for a specific purpose or audience.
• An understanding of Birchstreet or PRIMA Web is a plus
• Communicate and correct unusual invoicing activity to internal & external stakeholders
• Maintain status reports and update numerical information in a precise and timely manner
• Ability to travel 15% of the time (including to the corporate office, site visits, and potential association events).
