IT Senior Product Owner, Autonomous Stores

Job Description

Aramark is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Owner with a passion for leading edge technology to lead us into the future with Computer Vision and Autonomous Store solutions in our food and retail environment.
In this unique role, you will lead the strategy, product vision, stake holder engagement, road mapping, selling proposition, and develop a plan for scaling our computer vision and AI store footprint across North America. 
A successful person in this role will have a passion for differentiating experiences through technology enablement, the ability to challenge norms and gain buy in for unique ideas and capabilities and understand how to execute and become the subject matter expert of new capabilities that have not been done or deployed at scale before.

Job Responsibilities

•    Develop a cohesive product vision and strategy for autonomous store solutions and execute against the strategy.
•    Understanding of where store construction and technology intersect and the ability to think outside the box for solving problems this poses.
•    Meet frequently with Aramark stakeholders to understand business objectives. Effectively communicate product updates, milestones, and challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
•    Create and maintain a detailed product roadmaps that outline key milestones, features, and timelines for autonomous store development and enhancement.
•    Evaluate and prioritize features based on specific business needs, guest feedback, technical feasibility, budget, business impact, and overall strategy. 
•    Collaborate closely with internal and external multidisciplinary teams, including product, sales & growth, infrastructure, data, designers, and construction professionals, to define comprehensive product requirements and specifications needed for implementation.
 •    Infuse your construction management knowledge to guide the design, layout, and technical specifications of autonomous store spaces, optimizing customer experience and operational efficiency.
•    Define and establish repeatable intake and deployment processes for transition to Tech Operations team when appropriate.
•    Ensure product documentation is created and available for all stakeholders – Field Operations, Deployment, Support, Marketing, Sales, Clients, etc.
•    Define, document, and establish support process for Aramark accounts with the product.
•    Function as the primary point of contact and manage relationships with external Autonomous Store partners’ cross-functional teams, ensuring contractual agreements and commitments are met.
•    Guide the product through internal processes with Information Security, Architecture Review Board, etc., engaging vendors and internal subject matter experts as needed.
•    Stay informed about industry trends, market shifts, and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to innovative product development.
•    Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success and impact of autonomous store solutions. Make data-driven decisions to optimize product performance. 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
•    Successful management and delivery of products for mid to large scale organizations utilizing a combination of internal, vendor, and 3rd party resources.
•    Passion for leading edge technology in retail and the ability to take complex ideas and break them down into actionable progress
•    Strong understanding of AI, robotics, and autonomous systems, with an ability to grasp technical concepts and communicate them effectively.
•    In-depth understanding in the areas of process development, operations, procurement, testing, systems deployment, and on-going support
•    Project Management: Proficiency in project management methodologies, tools, and software. Ability to create and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
•    Construction Knowledge: Understanding of how construction and technology work together during new store builds (network infrastructure, cabling, power runs, tech installation such as turnstiles, etc…)
•    Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and drive cross-functional teams towards a common goal.
•    Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data to drive decisions and measure product success.
•    Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with an ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
•    Experience in the retail or e-commerce industry
•    Advanced Microsoft Office skills are required, including Excel and PowerPoint.
•    Employs considerable creativity, innovation, and solution design skills in performing this function.
•    Understanding of analytics, web, mobile, cloud and data driven business application
•    Ability to prioritize or seek help to prioritize.
•    Strong problem solving, analytical skills and interpersonal skills.
•    Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
•    Ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
