Summary
As an Oldcastle Maintenance Foreman, you will be responsible for the preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment. The Maintenance Foreman will also lead a small team of Maintenance Mechanics, providing hands-on supervision. A successful candidate must be able to work safely in a fast-paced, covered and uncovered manufacturing facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist and direct workers in electrical, electronic, mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipmentAssist and direct workers in the diagnosis of malfunctions in equipment and machinery
Inspect all production equipment daily
Install, adjust, and repair production equipment and special purpose machines as assigned
Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, change parts and complete tasks as assigned
Test malfunctioning machinery, determine repairs and discuss with Plant Manager for approval and repairs as needed
Replace faulty parts, electrical wires, motors, controls, and circuit boards
Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning
Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation
Ensure safety guidelines are followed
Perform maintenance on loaders and forklifts
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsible for supervising assigned workers including interviewing process, disciplinary, motivating, evaluating performance and developing personnel assignedResponsible for keeping attendance and productions records, identifying potential problems and managing them appropriately
Requirements
At least 3 years of maintenance/electrician experience with at least two years working in a manufacturing environmentStrong electrical background, PLC knowledge; 480 industrial voltage, maintenance programs, ordering parts, quotes for repairs and installation of equipment are essential qualifications necessary for this position
Experience working with diesel engines
Working knowledge of basic safety programs, particularly lock-out/tag-out procedures, as well as principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanics
Adequate computer skills to accurately document repairs and preventative maintenance practices
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Physical Requirements
Physical requirements include lifting up to 65 lbs., extended standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, working inside and outside, and use of fall protection equipmentAble to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
