Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of routine and non-routine accounting functions including adjustments, variance analysis and journal entries creations, all supported with requisite documentation. This role aids in the leadership of the accounting team members and the support of their continued growth.
Job Responsibilities
• Performs general ledger accounting tasks including journal entries, opening and closing analysis, month end journal entries, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliation.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Supports team through leadership and continued development of accounting team members
• Complete accounting and reporting activities in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and prescribed accounting policies and/or the financial procedures of the organization.
• Coordinate more complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team or with other departments
• Ensure month-end close and financial reporting deadlines are met
• Act as a liaison with the general ledger and corporate accounting teams to ensure regular timely and accurate closes.
• Preparation of standard reporting templates and packages are completed accurately and timely.
• Provide documentation and support to internal and external auditors.
• Help nurture an environment of continuous process improvement in the general ledger function.

Qualifications
• 3-5 year Finance or Accounting experience preferred
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Full Cycle Accounting experience
• Strong technical and analytical accounting skills
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
• Proven problem-solving and dispute resolution ability
• High level of organizational skills, time management and accountability
