What are the responsibilities and job description for the Court Victim Advocate position at Crime Victim Services?
Court Victim Advocate: The Court Victim Advocate for Crime Victim Services is responsible for following cases through the justice process in the Juvenile Court of Allen County, Ohio. This requires maintaining regular contact with County Prosecutors and Juvenile Court staff, maintaining client files, using CVS’ client management system to track cases and outcomes, attending court hearings on a weekly basis, as well as gathering court dates to both attend and to inform victims of said hearings. Court Advocates also ensure that victims’ rights provided through both the Ohio Constitution and ORC 2930 are followed by all parties associated with the case.
