Our tech platform connects 3000 tutors/mentors to students aiming to achieve admission and scholarships to top universities or their dream career pathway.
This is a full-time position, that can be worked remotely or in one of our many offices around the globe.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?
Overall
- Facilitate CRI’s revenue growth by ensuring operations — including hiring, service delivery, sales approval, and allocations — run smoothly and efficiently
- Ensure CRI has an excellent relationship with other Crimson teams, including sales, other service teams, marketing, etc.
- Ensure student progress is carefully monitored and tracked
Sales approval
- Process and make decisions on sales requests
- Assess sales approval requests against the student’s English literacy, academic qualifications, and access requirements of the different packages
- Ensure we have capacity to support the potential sale
- Liaise with the student’s team as to the crafting/costs of packages and distribution of service hours
Allocations
- Receive student allocation requests and respond to them in a tight timeframe
- Identify, shortlist, and confirm suitable mentors that closely match the requirements of the student
- Communicate with mentors to confirm their availability to take on new students
- Keep student teams informed of developments during the allocation process
- Keep accurate and detailed records of communications and the status of the allocation process
- Onboard CRI students and allocate them to their mentor
- Provide guidance and support to mentors and AAs in a prompt manner when issues arise
Hiring
- Identify current and future shortages in mentors and what disciplines these are in
- Recruit and hire mentors
- Source contact details of academics from university directories and websites for hiring purposes (or oversee contractors as they do so)
- Create contracts for prospective mentors to review and sign
- Interview, process, and onboard new mentors for the CRI mentor database, including adding them to our training platform; providing access to the mentor guidebook; creating Crimson App profiles, adding billing information to the profile, and adding the subjects they teach; and acquiring the mentor’s bio and adding it to the database

- Comfort thinking outside the box in order to solve problems creatively—this job requires that you always look for solutions, rather than accept an obstacle as immovable
- Sound judgement—and knowing when to ask for support!
- High level of organisational ability and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and stakeholders
- Comfort engaging with students and mentors of many different backgrounds
- Basic understanding of how academic research is conducted
