We are seeking a mission-focused Application Developer to support and contribute to our government customers' success in McLean, Virginia!

***ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED***

Responsibilities

As an Application Developer, you will perform development, operations, and maintenance (O&M) activities for the agency’s applications. The agency office is building a new solution for an internal customer. This application requires customization to the front-end and back-end and migration to the cloud to improve the customer’s administrative and operational efficiencies.

• Work closely with the customer and PM to gather requirements and contribute to the development of network-related features.
• Apply your solid foundation of cloud networking using VNET, VPC, VPNs, firewalls, routing tables, ExpressRoutes, Direct Connects, networking protocols, and peering.
• Continuously monitor and analyze network performance metrics.
• Stay abreast of the latest cloud services, features, trends, and best practices and provide recommendations on their adoption.
• Create planning, disaster recovery planning, and security audits

Qualifications

Required Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

• An active TS/SCI with a Favorable polygraph security clearance
• Six (6) years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions including Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, and Monitoring.
• Demonstrated experience working across multi-cloud network environments.
• Demonstrated experience with traffic engineering (AWS - VPC, transit gateway, CloudWatch and ELB) and (Azure - VNET, VPN gateway, Firewall, and Front Door).
• Understand cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, firewall configurations, and network security groups.
• Experience with planning, disaster recovery planning, and security audits
• Experience creating detailed documentation of network designs and configurations.
• Demonstrated experience with A&A work-flows and tools.
• Demonstrated experience with Sponsor's security requirements and systems.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring system performance and recommending corrective action.

Preferred Experience, Education, Skills & Technologies

• Agency experience
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a technical discipline

Security Clearance Level

• TS/SCI with a Favorable polygraph

• Full-time on-site at a designated facility.
