Safety Coordinator

This position is with our company Fab-Tech, which manufactures PermaShield Pipe (PSP®), a revolutionary hybrid fluoropolymer coated stainless steel duct system recognized worldwide as the premier solution for corrosive and hazardous fume exhaust needs. PermaShield Pipe is a fully engineered, modular fume exhaust system that combines the reliability of stainless steel with the superior corrosion resistance of Fab-Tech's proprietary PermaShield Fluoropolymer Barrier Coating. PSP carries a highly regarded FM4922 approval as well.

We are looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team in Colchester, VT!

In this role, you will implement and coordinate environmental/safety programs that protect the safety of our employees, reduce risk and liability for the corporation, and minimize impacts to the environment. You will do this by ensuring all regulatory requirements that impact the business are met, create and facilitate employee safety trainings, perform incident investigations, generate health and safety assessment reports, and lead the safety committee. You will be a great communicator, trainer and coach to employees on safety standards and enforcing procedures. You are a positive person who has a passion for safety and people, and you adjust well in a growing, changing manufacturing environment. There will also be travel opportunities to share knowledge with our safety team at our sister company in Phoenix!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental/Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant field, preferred
• Experience with safety in a manufacturing environment
• Motivated Self-Starter
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse workforce
• Current knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations
• OSHA certification or CSP designation preferred
• Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver engaging trainings
• Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Diplomacy, tact, and good judgment
• Detail orientated and highly organized
• Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred
