Job Summary:
The Operations Fulfillment Manager is responsible for managing the order book and multi-channel forecast through Croc’s North American Distribution Centers. He or she will monitor orders through induction, shipment and billing, by directing priorities, communicating status and fielding escalations. The Analyst will make and maintain fulfillment forecasts for each business unit and collaborate with Distribution Center operations for optimal use of capacity. He or she will create and publish metrics for forecast accuracy and variability and escalate instances of competing priorities for resolution.
Duties require daily oversight and execution of all fulfillment functions via self-generated reports and control tools while supporting the development and improvement of processes and procedures. Must be detail oriented, extremely organized and exercise proactive initiative while driving visibility and accountability to results and status. This position requires the ability to multi-task and perform well in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must possess a strong systems and distribution operation background in a high volume, high growth environment, along with working knowledge of all reporting tools related to forecasting, planning, allocation and routing processes.
Primary Job Duties:
- Responsible to collaborate with multiple departments of the DC including planning, allocation, production, routing and shipping to achieve Commercial Teams shipping goals by channel within specific SLA’s.
- Build Modify and Schedule reporting as directed to support DC & Commercial teams creating ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Accountable for identifying required strategies to help the business achieve revenue projections in alignment with DC operating goals.
- Utilize a deep understanding of system tools available such as SAP/WM/BI.
- Coordinate the flow of inbound orders through outbound shipments in the most efficient and profitable manner per strategic direction provided.
- Prioritize order fulfillment execution in a manner that ensures consistency in performance and customer service
- Maintain on-going communication between waving, inventory control, warehouse operations, routing and shipping functions while promoting professional customer service
- Collect forecasts from various business units and analyze versus current and future DC capacity escalating gaps, overages and changes. Produce and publish reporting on forecast accuracy and variability.
- Present current throughput status and answer questions during the DC daily/weekly recap calls and related meetings with all business units of America’s Commercial Team.
- Work very closely with Sales, Customer Compliance and Customer Service to have a full understanding of customer requirements including allocation, VAS and routing protocols.
- Ensure effective collaboration and connected execution between waving/routing as directed by Sr. Director of Business Operations & Customer Engagement.
- Monitor the flow of allocated orders through all warehouse processes, taking appropriate actions on exception issues for all three channels of business.
- Produce and publish reporting on key fulfillment metrics like On-Time In Full (OTIF), fill rate and average days to route/ship-and drive appropriate actions to improve performance.
- Work with all internal partners to ensure that orders drop properly from SAP to WM at order level to ensure OTIF service level.
- Partner and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce cost of operations and improve service level, capacity, productivity and quality.
- Maintain direct, productive, and positive relationships between and among management, corporate and DC staff.
- Formulate strategies and identify trends through research and data analysis
- Proactively identify opportunities and best practice adoption to improve overall performance (including upstream / downstream processes & functions)
- Identify and collaborate on initiatives to improve order fulfillment processes from a cost & service standpoint
- Fully analyze and drive to root cause elimination on any order exceptions by business unit such as fill rates, split shipments, etc.
- Contribute to reviews of outbound freight routing e.g. LTL ‘vs’ parcel, monitors and collaborates on feedback to wholesale accounts regarding routing issues and/or opportunities.
Job Requirements:
- 3-5 years in a detail oriented analytical role, with strength in producing and interpreting high level data analysis.
- 1-3 years of experience in Warehouse planning with hands on experience a plus.
- Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, finance, or industrial engineering preferred, or equivalent experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and relational database management system.
- Excellent PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and ERP system.
- Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP package.
- Strong project management and verbal/written communication skills.
- Flexible with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong, interpersonal and collaborative skills with a track record of cross functional success.
- Able to communicate and establish trust and credibility with all departments, Sr. management, corporate counterparts, customers, carriers and suppliers as necessary.
