Position Overview:
The Motor Grader Operator is responsible for operating a motor grader to spread, level, and finish dirt and gravel to grade specifications. The Motor Grader Operator is a full-time, seasonal position that requires travel and overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and has no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:
- Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
- Read grade stakes and the ability to work with grade checker, laser, or GPS to maintain grade
- Solid understanding of grades, transitions, and curves
- Operate motor grader in a safe and productive manner
- Complete pre and post-shift equipment inspection and other required paperwork
- Fuel, grease, maintain and help service equipment
- Operate and maintain other equipment if needed
- Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e., work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)
Position Requirements:
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
- Mechanical background and skills
- Current MSHA certification
- Transportation to and from work and travel to various job locations as needed
- Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
