Position Overview:

The Haul Driver will haul rock, sand and operate other equipment as needed. The Haul Driver is a full-time position that requires travel with overtime through peak season, reports to the Foreman, and will have no supervisory responsibility.

Essential Duties and Functions:

• Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
• Maintain vehicles in a clean, organized, and safe manner
• Perform maintenance on assigned trucks and other equipment as required
• Complete pre and post-shift inspections and assist with maintenance or repair of equipment as needed
• Operate other yards/heavy equipment to move parts and materials if needed (i.e. loaders, trucks, etc.)
• Must record any maintenance issues in the truck logbook and ensure supervisor is aware of any maintenance issues that would inhibit work production or create safety concerns
• Set up and tear down job sites when moving mining locations (i.e. running cables, hoses, setting up blocks, tarping, shoveling aggregate, etc.)
• Follow, enforce and promote company safety standards at all times
• Assist with machine maintenance and repairs
• Unplug and shovel off conveyors/screens, change out screens, rollers, cone liners, repair conveyor problems, and grease moving machine parts
• Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours if necessary)

Position Requirements:

• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen and drug test
• Consent to authorization of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record request
• Class B CDL
• Clean DMV record
• Mechanical background and skills
• Understand instructions from supervisory positions, both written and verbal
