Position Overview:
The Redi-Mix Plant Manager is responsible to manage employees and production at a Redi-Mix Plant, in addition to the following safety and operational guidelines, checking for concrete quality and loading according to tickets, and maintaining courteous customer relations. The Redi-Mix Plant Manager is a full-time position that requires overtime through peak season, reports to the Redi-Mix Regional Manager, and has supervisory responsibility.

General Duties and Functions:
- Be prompt and timely for all assigned shifts, schedules, and projects
- Be aware of and familiar with the Company Handbook
- Teach, coach, and work with the team in a constructive manner
- Actively participate in any recommended or mandatory training
- Additional duties as assigned by management, as this job description is non-exhaustive
- Willingness to perform duties outside the normal scope of work (i.e. work in poor weather conditions or outside normal hours)
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Batch concrete using manual and computerized systems, such as Alkon s Spectrum, Command Batch software, and Sysdyne
- Troubleshoot problems in a dry batch concrete plant and with rear discharge mixers
- Process customer orders and determine yardage
- Schedule available trucks to meet the orders
- Communicate professionally with customers and can attract future business
- Have a basic knowledge of concrete finishing problems and their causes
- Train, motivate, and give direction and discipline to employees under their supervision
- Self-motivated and can solve problems as they arise
- Order and coordinate deliveries from our suppliers as well as internal inventory
- Utilize your working knowledge of various ACI tests
- Follow direction from management
- Promote a safe work environment while facilitating weekly management and safety meetings
- Balance profitability with business reinvestment
- Maintain and account for all equipment that is assigned to their plant
- Address employee grievances and issue discipline as necessary
- Responsible for office administrative duties including, but not limited to payroll, invoice approvals, ticketing, and managing inventory
Position Requirements:
- Consent to authorization of a pre-employment work screen, Motor Vehicle Record request, and drug test
- Up to one year of mechanical experience
- Class B CDL
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
- High level of reasoning abilities (i.e. Meeting deadlines, Prioritize Company and customer needs, serving as a leader to both peers and direct reports)
