Job Description:
Job Purpose
To provide job site management and supervision while safely building high quality projects in an economical manner.
Essential Duties Responsibilities
- Supervise construction of projects under the administrative direction of the VP of Construction and the technical direction of the Area Manager/Project Manager Team.
- Staff (including hiring and firing), organize, train and supervise the job site construction crew within established policies and procedures.
- Mobilize and demobilize crew, equipment, and materials, to and from the job site, for each assigned project.
- Layout construction details including vertical elevations and horizontal locations.
- Assign work tasks and allocate materials and equipment for each day's effort.
- Direct all work in compliance with company policies. Follow procedures and standards in such areas as construction methods, high quality construction, contract administration, personnel administration, and safety.
- Manage time and resources to keep job on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain a preventive maintenance program for assigned equipment. Submit equipment maintenance sheets weekly.
- Maintain and submit weekly job progress report, time sheets and other required reports.
- Train crew members, including Nozzleman, and evaluate potential future leaders and Superintendents.
- Coordinate any transfers of permanent CROM field employees with the Team Services.
- At all times follow CROM and OSHA Safety Program requirements.
- Maintain current First Aid/CPR certification. Have or complete OSHA 30-Hour training course.
- Promptly report any personnel accidents to the Head of Safety and Training, Risk Manager, or in their absence another appropriate Manager.
- Conduct job site audits to ensure safety compliance and quality controls are in line with company policy and procedures.
- Apply corrective action as needed to ensure the health and safety of all company employees on all projects.
- Ensure employees are completing safety training as required by CROM and OSHA
- Establish and maintain security for the job site and CROM property.
- Take necessary precautions on the job to reduce the probability of liability claims against CROM.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have the ability to work as a member of a team.
- The ability to solve arithmetic problems quickly and accurately is required.
- Must have the ability to use heavy construction equipment.
Working Conditions
- Generally work 8 to 10 hour shifts, although longer shifts are common; weekend and overtime work may be required.
- Employee may experience weather-related work stoppages at any time of the year.
- Exposure to harmful materials or chemicals, fumes, odors, loud noises, or dangerous machinery may occur.
- Travel is required: Employees are expected to move with the crew from one job site to the next job site, which may be outside of an employee’s resident state.
