Registered Nurse (Labor & Delivery)

Permanent/Full-time

A leading Cheshire County hospital in western New Hampshire is seeking L&D Registered Nurses for openings in the acute care setting. 


Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients in triage for preterm labor, active labor, rupture of membranes, pregnancy complications, or co-existing issues
  • Assist in maintaining pregnancy in antepartum mothers
  • Fetal assessment and monitoring
  • Maternal physical assessment(s)
  • Manage patients in labor, including induction assistance, epidural assistance, pain management, education, and delivery support
  • Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubals, and emergency obstetric and gynecological procedures
  • Medication administration and immunizations
  • Patient education related to medications, labor, pushing, delivering, and postpartum care of mother and baby
  • Newborn care and assessment
  • Breastfeeding and postpartum support/management


Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current NH RN license in NH state
  • At least 1 year of med/surg experience required
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Neonatal resuscitation required but may be obtained after hire date
  • BLS required within three months of hired start date
  • NACOG certification desirable
