Job Summary:
The Controller will manage the day-to-day accounting operations of the company.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, including Financial Accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, collections, and more.
Oversee training programs and identify training needs for the department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage all accounting operations, including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL entries, Inventory, Accruals, Deferrals, and Revenue Recognition.
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
Lead month-end and year-end close processes and submission of results.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested by the Financial Director.
Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implement a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
Act as the lead for Accounting and Finance troubleshooting in Oracle ERP.
Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure compliance with Group Accounting Policies aligned with International Financial Reporting Standards.
Recommend benchmarks to measure company performance.
Monitor the annual budget and forecasts; report significant budget differences to the Financial Director.
Prepare timely month-end Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts and collaborate on AP runs.
Lead the Annual Financial Audit with a 3rd Party CPA Firm.
Lead Annual Corporate Tax Preparation with a 3rd Party CPA Firm.
Research and liaise with Group Finance on technical accounting issues for compliance.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including sales tax programs.
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Perform additional controller duties as necessary.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
5 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
Advanced degree in Accounting preferred.
Recognized Accounting Qualification.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience in creating financial statements.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Excellent ERP system skills; Oracle Fusion Cloud software user preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Able to travel as needed.
Annual salary: $100,000 - $110,000 per year
