What we're looking for
This position is responsible for providing technical leadership and direction for the usage of SWIFT technologies within the Bank and provide oversight to junior team members. In addition, assist with the implementation of new products/services from SWIFT and support the evolution of the Bank's SWIFT footprint.
The Payment Processing Swift Specialist will also perform vital functions for processing inbound and outbound wire transfers. Including, but not limited to, timely posting and releasing of incoming and outgoing wires per bank policy and procedures, working on daily reconciliations, and manage wire transfer investigations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and train staff members regarding Swift wire processing
- Create and maintain procedures
- Process and monitor inbound and outbound wire transfers
- Managing wire transfer investigations
- Maintain general ledgers and perform reconciliations
- Ability to tabulate and input with accuracy and speed
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Assists in month-end/quarter-end/year-end reporting
- Executes internal controls related to assigned areas and tasks
- Assist with further structuring the Learning and Development infrastructure (i.e. internal processes, guidelines, communications, etc.)
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience preferred
- 3-5 years of Swift payments experience in a high-volume environment
- Able to demonstrate a knowledge of SWIFT messaging formats (MT and ISO20022)
- Hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshoot and testing SWIFT products: SWIFT Alliance Gateway, SWIFT Alliance Access, SWIFT Web Platform, SWIFT Net Link
- Demonstrated experience in SWIFT protocols
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills: written, verbal, visual presentations, and effective listening skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to set priorities and perform multiple assignments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word/Excel)
