Automotive technician

Job Summary :

First State Auto Group is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

This position is a full-time, individual contributor role within our fast-paced and dynamic auto industry.

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and servicing a variety of vehicles, ensuring they are in top operating condition for our customers.

Compensation & Benefits :

This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual compensation range of $50,000 to $100,000, based on experience and skill level.

Responsibilities :

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and technical issues on a variety of vehicles including cars, trucks, and SUVs
• Perform routine maintenance and service tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and tune-ups
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Communicate with Service Advisors and customers to explain repairs and provide recommendations for preventative maintenance
• Continuously attend training and development programs to stay current on industry advancements and technologies
• Ensure a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all safety standards and regulations

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Automotive Technician
• Ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components
• Proficient in utilizing diagnostic tools and software
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must have own tools
