What are the responsibilities and job description for the MultiSystemic Therapist position at Crossroads Health?
We seek a passionate, articulate and charismatic individual to become a MultiSystemic Therapist (MST) a part of our Intensive Family Services Group. MST therapy is an intensive family and community based treatment program focusing on addressing all environmental systems impacting adolescents with serious behavioral issues in Lake County. MST recognizes homes, families, schools and teachers, neighborhoods and friends can all play a critical role in a youth's life and each system requires attention when effective change is necessary.
The counselor/therapist will carry a small caseload, and work intensively with referred youth and all other interested parties. This role offer ongoing training in the MST model. Hours are flexible, includes at least 2 evenings a week and this position offers a $2,500 sign on bonus.
Here is what you will be doing in this role:
- Providing direct clinical treatment where you can leverage client strengths and focusing on the positive, understanding consequences of behavior, and increasing mature behavior.
- Conducting a thorough assessment of the client and family: gather information on behaviors of concern and strengths in the family; as well as how those concepts can impact problem behavior.
- Engaging all interested parties to the client: primary caregiver, family members, supports, school staff, and other community related staff( courts, child welfare etc).
Position Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field of study required.
- LSW, LPC or MFT required; LISW, LPCC or IMFT preferred.
- Prior experience in delivering mental health services in a home/community setting to children and families with complex needs is essential.
- Must have a current driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (4 pts. or less), reliable transportation, and carry automobile insurance with minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 and property damage of $50,000.
