Position Overview:
The Technical Business Analyst’s primary focus is helping businesses implement technology solutions through iterative software development practices. The Technical Business Analyst will support project oversight, backlog grooming and work ticket definition activities related to preparing and supporting new development efforts. The Technical BA is normally tasked with pre-development system diagram documentation and requirement elicitation.
Candidates should be comfortable supporting project efforts through requirement gathering solicitation while documenting and communicating project outcomes, efforts and goals clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Analyze and document business requirements
- Prepare solution and process diagrams
- Resolve roadblocks to development commitments
- Identify and Implement areas of process improvement
- Control and adjust processes as necessary to improving the effectiveness of the team
- Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
- Determines root cause of data errors or inconsistencies
- Coordinate daily standup/scrum meetings
- Coordinate requirement gathering and customer and stakeholder review meetings
- Manage/Refine Agile backlog
- Oversee execution of Agile ceremonies
- Proactively track team progress in an onsite and remote team setting
- Ability to document service integration via integration flow, sequence diagram, or functional modeling
- Able to read/comprehend code, prepare and review service layer mapping
- Understand and segment happy path from edge path testing scenarios
- Tech skills: Office, JIRA, Postman, Lucid Chart, Visio
- Concepts: TDD, Agile, Waterfall, V-Model, Process design
- Must travel at twice a month to/from Birmingham Alabama or Tupelo, Mississippi
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any other related field
- At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Experience with Financial Service industry processes, data models and concepts
- Banking Core System Knowledge
- Experience with API design, data mapping and versioning
- Experience executing cloud migration projects
- Prior Consulting experience
- Prior experience in a Product Owner role
