Education:

Graduate of a Veterinary Technician or equivalent program with certification or eligible for in the state of Minnesota.

Experience:

Clinical experience of 2 years is preferred but not required. We do expect applicants to have hands-on animal care experience.

Qualifications:

- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well with others and communicate effectively and compassionately with clients

- Ability to perform veterinary reception duties in an efficient and personable manner

- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology

- Ability and knowledge of proper restraint techniques of dogs and cats

- Knowledge, ability and understanding of proper radiology restraint and positioning techniques and procedures

- Trained in basic laboratory procedures and specimen handling and preparation

- Ability to perform venipuncture, intravenous catheter placement and intubation

- Trained in surgical preparation and assisting, anesthetic monitoring and dentistry procedures

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
