About the Role: CrowdStrike is in search of a skilled Systems Integration Technician to assist in Integrating, Testing, and Configuring Data Center Hardware. The Systems Integration Technician role is a hands-on role performing, systems integration activities as well as supporting our warehouse team in preparing hardware for integration and shipping. The candidate must be experienced in data center best practices, Linux, computer hardware components and networking. We are currently open to candidates that are within a reasonable commuting distance to Reno, NV, as this is an on-site role. Responsibilities: Assemble equipment using manufacturing documentation and engineering specifications. Utilize appropriate tools to install, configure and test equipment and components. Perform hardware inspection according to the company’s security inspection procedures. Perform packaging and shipping of tested and/or integrated equipment. Examine and test equipment at various stages in order to identify errors. Install hardware into test and integrate into production server cabinets. Perform other duties as needed or assigned. Qualifications: 4 years experience preferred with direct experience managing servers and/or data centers to support business goals. Familiar with copper and optical cabling. Understand power cabling. Ability to lift up to 75 lb. Familiar with command line interfaces. Basic familiarity with Linux and other common operating systems. Familiar with server, storage, internet technologies. Ability to communicate technical detail into succinct and fact-based business terminology both verbally and in writing. Ability to use independent judgment to make sound, justifiable decisions and take action to solve problems.
