Job Description:
Crowe is looking to hire a well-rounded Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of our portfolio of bespoke web applications used to deliver Crowe’s Incident Response services. You’ll play an important role in delivering new features to safeguard and provide insights into the effective cybersecurity posture of an organization. This individual should have a passion for software development, innovation, and experience engineering business to business applications.
Responsibilities:
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $84,706.00 to $168,877.00 per year.

Job Description:
Crowe is looking to hire a well-rounded Software Engineer to contribute to the design, development and maintenance of our portfolio of bespoke web applications used to deliver Crowe’s Incident Response services. You’ll play an important role in delivering new features to safeguard and provide insights into the effective cybersecurity posture of an organization. This individual should have a passion for software development, innovation, and experience engineering business to business applications.
Responsibilities:
- Engineer and ship new features meeting quality standards for security, usability, performance and maintainability
- Contribute to the ongoing design, development, and maintenance of web and mobile applications using a Kanban development process
- Employ automated testing to ensure the technical quality of features and solutions
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to develop and implement user interfaces meeting uncompromising standards of quality and usability
- Troubleshoot product issues quickly and efficiently
- Participate in establishing, reviewing, and enforcing software development practices
- Apply technical expertise to analyze and reverse engineer malware, automate data extraction, and evaluate architecture design in support of incident response engagements
- Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles
- 3 years of professional experience in the development of web applications and APIs in consumer or enterprise contexts
- Proficiency with some of the core technologies used in our tech stack including C#, Angular, Svelte, Node.js, Docker, Linux and SQL Server
- Proficiency in server-side languages such as C#, Java, Ruby, and Go
- Experience with front-end web development frameworks including Angular, Svelte, Vue.js, or React
- Sound understanding of relational databases and hands-on experience with SQL
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality work with a strong emphasis on enhancing user experience
- Proven experience in translating design mockups and wireframes into responsive, efficient, and maintainable code
- Proactive self-starter with a commitment to seeing features through from requirements to production launch and maintenance.
- Familiarity with the OWASP Top 10 and a grasp of secure software development practices
- Scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, or Python
- Experience leveraging Entity Framework or similar ORM for database interactions.
