Position Title: Site Development Intern

Role

Join our dynamic Site Development team at CCI as a summer intern, focusing on site development for cell towers. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience in the acquisition and development process of critical telecommunications infrastructure. Collaborate with experts in the field to identify potential sites, conduct due diligence, and assist in negotiations to secure locations for cell tower installations. This opportunity provides a unique insight into the telecommunications industry and the strategic importance of real estate site acquisition in expanding network coverage and capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in identifying and evaluating potential sites for cell tower installations, ensuring they meet specific criteria and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the site acquisition team to conduct due diligence, including site visits, environmental assessments, and zoning analysis.
  • Support negotiations with property owners and stakeholders to secure lease agreements for cell tower locations.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting documentation for zoning and permitting approvals.
  • Create and maintain databases and reports to track site acquisition progress and key metrics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and legal, to ensure seamless integration of new sites into the network.
  • Participate in meetings and discussions to gain a deeper understanding of the telecommunications industry and site development processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to streamline site acquisition and reduce costs.

Education/Certifications 

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited higher education institution with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026

Experience/Minimum Requirements 

  •  Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 3 to August 9, 2024
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. on a full-time, regular basis without additional sponsorship

Reports to: Senior Manager, Site Development

Work Plans: This role falls into our hybrid work model working in the office on Monday through Thursday.  On Fridays, teammates on the hybrid schedule will have the option to work from the office or home.
