Distribution Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Distribution Manager to oversee the efficient and effective distribution of products within our organization. The Distribution Manager will be responsible for managing the entire distribution process, from order picking to transportation management, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the distribution process and improve overall efficiency
- Manage and coordinate the activities of the distribution team, including order picking, packing, and shipping
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments, monitor delivery schedules, and ensure on-time delivery
- Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely replenishment
- Oversee warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and quality control
- Implement best practices for order picking, packing, and shipping to minimize errors and maximize productivity
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with carriers and freight forwarders for efficient transportation management
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to the distribution team

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices
- Proficiency in using transportation management systems (TMS) for tracking shipments and managing logistics
- Experience with order picking techniques and warehouse operations
- Familiarity with forklift operation and other material handling equipment
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, vendors, and carriers
- Knowledge of fleet management practices is a plus

Pay: $39,520.00 - $52,000.00 per year
