Job Accountabilities
The Office Administrator is responsible for office administrative support to the HR Manager, Plant Manager, and operating departments. This position will maintain a sufficient product inventory, quote and purchase products, and basic accounts payable and receivables.
Job Requirements
Responsibilities would include, but not be limited to the following:
Manage all incoming calls to the main plant phone and direct calls as appropriate.
Process plant visitors and maintain visitor log.
Provide administrative support to plant safety requirements.
Process and submit plant purchase orders and accounts payable.
Process and submit hourly payroll weekly.
Prepare weekly manning schedule.
Update rate changes and maintain records.
Process Union dues and quarterly shift preference
Prepare and maintain the vacation schedule
Maintain employee attendance log
Assist HR Manager with New Hire orientation and onboarding, including collection of new hire paperwork
Assist Plant Manager or HR Manager with organizing and “hosting” company events from a setup/maintenance/clean up perspective, i.e. Health Fair, annual testings, etc.
Prepare various required reports (pension, safety, training, etc.).
Sorts, distributes incoming mail
Ensure cleanliness of lobby and office area.
Other Duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Associates degree and HR generalist experience is preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Organizational skills
Self-starter with ability to work autonomously
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle issues with discretion and professionalism.
Demonstrate strong people skills – be personal, professional, and empathetic towards others. Have strong time management and prioritization skills
Positive attitude
Agile learner, able and willing to take on new projects
Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and general web-based solutions
Preferred Requirements:
Payroll processing experience is strongly preferred
AS400 experience a plus

Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to thirty (30) pounds.
This is an active position and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly uses hands and fingers routinely.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Required to talk and hear regularly.

Working Conditions:
Office and manufacturing plant environment.
The associate may occasionally be required to work in plant environment subject to temperature fluctuations and high levels of noise.
May require some overtime according to business situations, including working on weekends.
