What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at Crown Staffing?
Crown Staffing is currently seeking General Laborers to fill openings located in the Madison IN Area. The ideal candidates would have previous experience and be able to work a 12-hour shift. Will accommodate a part-time schedule (Monday through Wednesday (12-hour shifts) and then volunteer for OT on Friday or Saturday if the candidate wants it, on 8-hour shifts). Still going to keep the 5 days-a-week schedule, but this is going to be an addition.
Requirements of the General Labor
- Entry-level general labor worker.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. (Team lifts available)
- Background: Friendly
- Ability to work overtime when mandatory
- HS Diploma or GED
- Basic problem solving skills
- Ability to work in hot environment year round
- Maintain safe and clean workspace

Responsibilities of the General Labor
- Unloading tubes/pipes from end of the tube mill and place in bundles
- Quality control inspections of tubes
- Operate banding gun to band bundles together with steel grips
- Continual lifting and pushing throughout entire shift
- General facility cleaning when operations slow down
