Job Description
Responsibilities
- Able to understand and use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc
- Performs QA inspection at 1st article, in-process, and shop floor to assure conformance to print specifications
- Audits various manufacturing processes to assure compliance to customer specifications
- Maintains and updates inspection logs and records as necessary
- Initiates non-conformance reports (NCRs) and follows-up to final disposition of nonconforming materials
- Responsible for complying with the department’s existing policies, procedures, and methods
- Assists manager and / or department staff by providing document support, such as filing, and data entry
- Additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of Quality experience in manufacturing
- Ability to reason and analyze to pinpoint defects
- Ability to read and interpret dimensional drawings
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of basic measuring tools such as Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, etc
- Basic computer skills including Word, and Excel
- Ability to operate and / or program a Zeiss or Mahr CMM is a definite plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- English (Required)
