Quality Assurance Analyst

Description

The Quality Assurance Analyst is responsible for maintaining the company’s quality management system and standards. This role will provide support to ensure effective quality processes and systems are in compliance with applicable ISO Standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Creates, develops, provides, or coordinates quality training, materials, and other educational tools.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversees, sustains, and improves the company’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System including the corrective action & non-conformance reporting system, the internal audit process, external audit requirements, and annual management review meetings.
• Leads and manages various internal and external audits and management review process based on ISO 9001 requirements, as well as perform all functions necessary to maintain Crown’s ISO certification. 
• Maintains and updates all quality documentation inclduing the quality manuals, procedures, work instructions, forms, and production documents.
• Analyze data from production and review the cost of quality information; evaluate and identify trends to suggest improvement ideas or corrective action activities to be worked on with a cross-functional team. 
• Perform root cause analysis for process related concerns and assist with the development of training requirements based on the analysis results to build employee quality awareness.
• Identify areas of continuous improvement withing the quality department and Quality Management System.
• Provides development and training related to quality assurance and control for quality team and other departments within the company.
• May complete in-process and final inspections for manufacturing projects, as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrated understanding of ISO-9001 Quality Management System requirements and standards.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to serve as a liaison with internal and external customers including production managers, project managers, clients, and auditors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Experience/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• At least four years of experience in quality assurance or quality control.
• At least two years of related experience in an ISO9001 company required.
• Previous experience in the following disciplines is a plus: mechanical assembly, metal fabrication, and electrical wiring.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to traverse the production floor as needed.
