We are looking for passionate individuals to join the kitchen team at Crowne Plaza.
We are looking for an Assistant Banquet Chef to assist Executive Don Simmons and team. We're open Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Candidates should be team-oriented, willing, and able to help on any station, comfortable in a high-paced environment and eager to learn.
Skills and Qualities:
- Training and cultivating relationships with new hires, as well as ongoing staff development
- Ability to deal with problems or concerns that arise in the BOH through the proper channels (conversations with employees and proper documentation)
- Working with the Chef and Sous Chef on managing weekly inventory and invoices and declining budget
- Working with the Chef & Sous Chef on creating and managing weekly schedule for BOH
- Ensuring all line cooks are prepared for lunch and dinner service
- Ensuring all line cooks open and close their stations properly, as well as filling out preparation sheets for the following shift and day
- Overseeing the opening and closing of the kitchen as scheduled, and have a willingness to be flexible with start and finish times
- Working with the Chef on preparing orders and placing orders daily, communicating with purveyors and keeping availability sheets up to date.
- Working with the Chef on coordinating and preparing lists with management and Sous Chef for large parties.
- Work with management and attend meetings, 9:00AM Line up, L-10 Staff meeting and BEO meetings.
- Assisting in creating menu specials/menu development (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner).
- Ensuring Market Place is properly stocked with specialty items and recorded on spread sheet
- Assisting in creating employee meals and breakfast menu specials (Lunch and breakfast specials).
- Overseeing and adhering to a daily, weekly & monthly cleaning schedule.
- Overseeing and adhering to a daily and weekly prep schedule.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18/hr
- 30 60 90 day review of job performance
o At end of 90 days, commiserate pay raise will be applied based on performance, up to 5.5%

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Culinary experience: 4 years (Preferred)
- Servsafe Certified or Food Handlers Certificate (Preferred)
Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)
Must be authorized to work in the United States of America.
