Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Project Quality Manager (PQM) who will work directly with the Project Manager, Customers, and at the Field sites. Typical responsibilities of the job include: determining, negotiating and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications. assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met.
· The ideal candidate will act as the Quality Representative for the Customer on the Project; act as the Project Quality lead on the Project Core Team (which is the leadership team of the Project).
· H/She will set the vision and strategy for PQA, in line with overall quality strategy & policy.
· H/She will define and monitor the associated quality management plan which includes priorities for improvements in line with the industries best practices and highlights the requirements needed (i.e. resources, competencies etc.). Also, highlight any risk identified and supports counteractions.
· H/She will ensure and support reliable root-cause analysis process and competencies within PQA and project management function.
· Responsible for establishing and validating quality goals and strategy for the project; define QA deliverables and requirements while ensuring proper deployment within the entire QA community involved.
· Participate in design reviews, validate and approve quality deliverables, support production readiness at suppliers and in the production site, ensures quality product are delivered to our Customer.
· Ensure the proper integration of the configuration and the change management process throughout the project/product lifecycle.
· Ensure that the field and product introduction activities are fully integrated in project delivery.
· Ensure Car History Books are accurate and delivered without delays at time of rail car shipments.
· Other duties as required to successfully deliver on time, safe, reliable vehicles to our customers.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Experienced in managing Quality projects; have a demonstrated progressive career path which shows increased skills and abilities in this area.
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field.
· A minimum 10 years of progressively responsible project design, project execution, and project management experience.
· A minimum of 5 years of design experience and possesses an overall technical understanding in the areas of process, mechanical, electrical, and controls design.
· ASQ CMQ/OE Certification (Must be able to attain within 6 Months)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of internal and external customers.
· Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
· Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
· Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
