Job Summary
The Branded Content Writer & Manager will own the voice of the brand through all branded content for the promotion, advertising, and fundraising aspects of CRS’ engagement. As a member of the CRS Brand and Creative team, the Branded Content Writer & Manager will be joining a highly collaborative group who are passionate about building impactful brand and communication campaigns and can execute multiple projects across the agency. This involves developing content strategies, working cross-functionally with the marketing and communications functions, executing branded content campaigns, among other duties. They must have the ability to work quickly and effectively while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Reporting to the Creative Director, this position will be responsible for creating, writing, editing, and reviewing content in collaboration with the team, managing relationships internally and with external partners and consultants, and managing promotional campaigns.
This position will require experience writing video scripts, web content, display ads and print collateral.
Job Responsibilities
Overall
- Develop and implement content strategy to promote the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Develop outlines, scripts, and storyboards for video and interactive media
- Write web, digital advertising, and print content
- Be a bridge between web branded content and editorial content
- Develop and maintain editorial calendars to ensure timely and consistent delivery of content
- Own the voice of the brand and ensure its consistent application
- Build relationships with internal clients; help create higher level synergies in all agency messaging processes
- Manage a Content Writer and external talent such as freelance writers
- Source, write, and edit content from internal and external sources
- Apply data-led insights to strategic and creative planning
- Help conceptualize and oversee execution of creative content, ideas, and experiences across content and platforms that will make an impact on our audiences, with an emphasis on storytelling
- Work with the CD to determine content objectives for promoting the CRS brand
- Ideate, pitch, and compose copy for editorial content that meet stakeholder goals while retaining our brand's voice and mission-alignment.
- Develop tactical plans for campaign content
- Assist the social media team in crafting and editing copy for marketing collateral
- Collaborate with graphic designer and video production teams to provide input and collective revisions for creative (print, digital, video, etc.)
- Stay up to date on best practices and trends in branded content and content marketing
