What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Index Analyst position at CRSP?
GENERAL SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Associate Index Analyst is to assist with the daily maintenance of Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) real-time indexes. Duties will include the processing of corporate actions and related information under the guidance of more senior personnel. Additional responsibilities may include testing new data feeds, software, and/or procedures. The group has an ongoing stream of corporate action data that must be verified to accurately calculate the total returns for our indexes. The Associate Index Analyst would be able to help reconcile some of the more frequent corporate actions (i.e., cash dividends, special dividends, stock splits, reverse stock splits, etc.), enabling the Index Analysts more time to focus on complex corporate actions.
CRSP has created, maintained and updated research-quality historical US market databases for common stocks, mutual funds, treasuries, REITS and indexes.
The CRSP Indexes are a logical extension of our core products. They blend advancements in academic research with industry practice in a fundamentally sound manner under the premise that an index must reflect the way that money managers actually invest.
