We are seeking a Senior Auditor.
This position is for a Senior Audit Consultant, who is responsible for completing financial and operational assessments of the design and effectiveness of internal controls, with a focus on the company’s SOX Compliance program, in order to provide assurance to the Audit Committee of the Board and executive management
Essential Functions:
- Performing activities related to the organization’s Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance program, including:
- Assessing the design of internal controls through walkthroughs
- Performing independent testing of the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, including appropriate sample selection and documentation.
- Performing SOX scoping to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Reporting on testing progress and status, including milestone tracking.
- Identifying deficiencies/issues and opportunities to enhance the control environment, and quantifying the related impact.
- Following up and reporting on the implementation status of management’s action plans
- Executing independent reviews and evaluations of operations and activities to assess:
- The reliability and integrity of internal controls over financial and management reporting, including authorization of transactions and safeguarding of assets.
- Compliance with policies, laws, and regulations which could have significant impact upon operations and processes.
- The effectiveness and efficiency of operations.
- Adhering to the RAAS departmental policies and procedures, including ensuring consistency and completeness of working paper documentation and compliance with IIA Standards
- Developing an effective working relationship with management to ensure RAAS is viewed as a partner for managing risk.
- Undertaking relevant training, networking, and studies as required to ensure continuing professional development.
