Director, Benefits HR - (Morristown, NJ)


Summary

The Benefits Director implements, administers, and maintains benefits programs, policies, and procedures in support of the company-wide health, wellness and savings functions.

What you will do:


  • Supports the Vice President of Benefits with guidance, consultation and education of HR Business Partners.
  • Manages day-to-day activities of plan offerings including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, etc.
  • Oversees all leave of absence programs including Parental, STD, LTD, and Workers Compensation. Closely monitors leave management company activities, manages employee communications, coordinates claim activities with HRBPs, works with legal counsel on workplace accommodation requests and to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws.
  • Manages day-to-day operations of Employee Savings Plan (401(k)) and Employee Share Purchase Program (ESPP).
  • Coordinates new hire and open enrollment activities and assists with related communications.
  • Documents administrative processes and develops/maintains procedures for all benefit functions.
  • Partners with HRIS and Payroll to ensure data integrity pertaining to contributions, and payroll deductions.
  • Resolves complex employee questions and problems by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates and provides direction to vendors in coordinating and delivering benefit services.
  • Manages and mentors staff.

What you will bring to C&F:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent education and experience required.
  • 5 – 7 years of experience in health, wellness and savings administration.
  • Strong knowledge and proven experience in effectively managing leave of absence programs.
  • Experience in vendor contracting and management.
  • 2 years experience in the management and mentoring of staff
  • Experience with HRIS system implementations and annual maintenance/modification of enrollment functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Working knowledge of legislation and regulations that affect benefits plans, including but not limited to ADA, ERISA, IRC, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA and federal and state statues.
