Claims Operations Manager - Surety (Morristown, NJ or Remote)

The Claims Operations Manager role supports the business strategies and activities of the Surety Claims department. In this role the ideal candidate will work closely with and reports to the Operations Vice President.

What you will do for C&F

Assist Operations Vice President with the following duties to support the Surety Claims business:

• Analyze daily reports to ensure accurate and timely transactions are processed.
• Respond to inquiries from both internal and external customers and if necessary, research the response to ensure accuracy of reply.
• Review departmental workflow/process for improvement/efficiencies.
• Ensure all claim transactions are entered into the system accurately and meet the corporate time service standards.
• Complete quality control reviews. Screen transactions to determine proper processing. Refer transactions back to the staff, claims team as necessary. Ensure information is accurately entered into the proper Image Right file.
• Communicate, as needed, with producers/customers to obtain information required to complete transactions, contributing to service excellence by answering producer questions in regards to claim status.
• Work with system support to review test samples and to map new Robots as necessary.
• Electronically print documents into the imaging system, page mark and label the documents appropriately adhering to the corporate protocols. Audit Image Right files for accuracy.
• Provide one-on-one training to staff as needed.
• Assist with special projects, upon request.

What you will bring to C&F

• Surety bond claim processing experience is desired but candidates with P&C claim processing experience will be considered.
• A bachelors degree and 6 years of experience
• Prior supervisory experience is preferred
• Knowledge of Commercial and Contract Surety bond issuing transactions in corporate systems is desired but candidates with P&C bond issuing experience will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook plus various internet based technologies required in the role.
• Solid verbal and written communication, as well as math skills.
• Effective communication skills, in person and over the phone.
