Job Description

The HR Intern will support an HR Team of 5 that includes an HR Generalist, HR Business Partners, Training Manager and Trainer. This internship will provide exposure to a variety of HR competencies in support of a career path in Human Resources. This role will support both the Training and HR Business Partner functions.

 

 

What you will do for C&F:

 

  • Handles various administrative tasks within the Human Resources department, including filing, audit of employee files and other varied administrative tasks
  • Will work on a variety of projects assigned
  • May provide recruiting support: confirm interviews with prospective candidates
  • May conduct exit interviews in conjunction with the HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Assist in new hires processes
  • Assist in Summer Intern events and act as an Intern liaison with HR
  • Will handle documentation of HR and Training processes and procedures
  • May input employee records onto the HR Information System
  • Other duties as assigned

 

What you will bring to C&F:

 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Human Resources Management or related field from an accredited College/University
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, etc.), advanced level of proficiency in MS PowerPoint is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Exceptional communications skills, both oral and written 
  • Personal concern, interest, pride and accountability in all areas of responsibility
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Strong organization and time management skills, with exceptional attention to detail

 

Crum & Forster is committed to ensuring a workplace free from discriminatory pay disparities and complying with applicable pay equity laws.  Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The hourly pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $15.00 to a maximum of $25.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range.
