These bakers will execute and understand recipes, perform quality checks on ingredients and finished products, use icing, glazes, fillings, and other toppings to enhance item presentation, and process orders from customers. Bakers will greet customers, answer questions, clean workstations and equipment, and perform other duties to ensure that customer needs are satisfied, and the bakery is well-stocked and operating smoothly.
To be a successful ovens opperator, an individual should be efficient and friendly with a focus on food quality and customer satisfaction. They should be organized, decisive, attentive, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques.
Oven Opperator Job Responsibilities:
- Reading and understand bake times and paying close attention to detail.
- Using Ovens and other equipment to make cookies. (Required to be 18 years old by Louisiana law to use the industrial mixer)
- Decorating and displaying finished product
- Testing ingredients and finished goods to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality controls
- Greeting customers, answering questions, making recommendations, accepting orders and payment, and providing exceptional customer service
- Keeping records relating to cookie quality and how to make the best products possible.
- Taking client information and ensuring that deliveries are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Keeping cookies available at all times for customers to enjoy.
- Cleaning and restocking workstation and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift
