Job Purpose

Under the direction of the Director of Cookie Development, the R&D Baker Assistant will execute projects assigned by the Director of Cookie Development, and assist with R&D production and kitchen maintenance. The R&D Baker Assistant is at the very beginning of what Crumbl’s thousands of fans get to experience each week. Creativity, passion, and cookie love are required!

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist with recipe execution based on priority of the Cookie Calendar and Shipping Program as directed by R&D leaders.
• Assist with fulfilling ingredient measurements, kitchen maintenance, product sample organization, dish and tool maintenance.
• Assist with presenting cookies and developments in daily Cookie Review meetings for executive approval or redirection.
• Cleaning, organization and maintenance of Test Kitchen alongside other bakers.
• Ability to pivot and take constructive criticism.

• Excellent cleaning skills and organizational efforts required.
• Utah Food Handlers Permit
• Excellent communication skills; written and verbal
• Highly organized and self-motivated

• Flexible and adaptable; able to work and thrive in ambiguity

Working Conditions

Working on the R&D team exposes the worker to loud equipment noise levels, hotter/cooler temperatures, and standing on your feet for the majority of the work day. There is also regular exposure to hot ovens, large mixers, and various professional cooking equipment that require attention to safety.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform in a professional kitchen environment as well as the potential to work in an office setting. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds and regularly bakery equipment or ingredients up to 50 pounds.

Salary : $50 - $400
